Had to get up at 1:30am this morning (or does it count as last night) in order to get to Gatwick by 5am. Met Rosie, Alan, Martin and Stuart at the airport and had breakfast. Stephen stayed up all night whereas the rest of us went to bed and grabbed a few hours sleep. Not sure this was best for Dave as getting up that early made him feel quite ill for much of the morning.
Found myself dozing off as they read the safety notices in the plane. Dozing clearly helps equalize pressure as you take off - my ears gently eased themselves rather than popping at a certain point.
Were met at Innsbruk by Bo and had a mini-bus to ourselves to the resort. Arriving mid afternoon should have given us the rest of the day to enjoy, but we were all so tired that we did little other than swim and chill out by the pool (pleasant in itself) after having lunch at a lovely restaurant by the river complete with lederhosen-clad waiter.
Bo went through all the activities we could do on hols. They all sounded alot more attractive when he described them than they did in the brochure. We are all keen to go white water rafting, but as Rosie is a bit scared of water we decided to book the gentle Ziller rafting (on the local river) for Friday to see if she likes it.
Rosie, Esther and I are going to take the steam train to see the castle while the others do their thing tomorrow. Walking in Dave and Alan's case, high ropes (going ape) for Stuart and Stephen I think.
